If I called the AA out; would my premiums go up next year?

It would depend on your policy, IMO, but I used to belong to the RAC and it's a breakdown service, my premium didn't go up when I called them out.

I think you get 3 call outs per annum before a charge is made.

Autonational Rescue pioneered a policy of offering a 25% discount to policy holders who've not called them out in the preceding year, meaning a call out will effectively increase the following year's premium (for that year only) by one third. Several other providers of breakdown cover have now followed suit but, up until now, the AA isn't one of them.

It's actually a maximum of 5 call-outs in a year, without additional charge, for accounts held in a single name. (Joint account holders can make more calls). However the AA are quick to decline further cover to drivers who call them out frequently.

Many thanks everyone. It is she to the fact I have a flat tyre! I must have ran over something as I was last to use the car!! Got my fella out in the awful weather yesterday to pump tyre up so I could drive to tyre shop but it went down just as quick as inflating it :(. I didn't want to call them if my premium went up as they tried to putting it up to £230 this year when we have been with them 7 years with 2 call outs in the whole duration!! So after a call they put it down to £130! So I didn't want our membership to go up again! By £100 just because I called them out for the flat tyre! Would have got fella to change the spare wheel!! Thanks again x

Do what I did join the AA one year and then the RAC the next and alternate them. That way yoiu get the new members rate every year and save up to 50%. Don't need to do it now as we have a motability car and everything is inculded including full breakdown cover.

i was with AA and i was told i could call them out 10 times per year. just before you renew, shop around cos at renewal time AA tend to become quite expensive.
