I'm far too old for this but here it is:
I have just bought my first *slightly fast* car and am feeling the urge to tart it up a bit. It's a 2000 Ford Puma (1.7i) fairly high milage but FSH and has been well looked after. The clutch needs doing and there is a clunk from the back which I assume is worn suspension bushes, so I'll deal with those first.
I do find myself hoofing it a bit when conditions allow and would love to know if there are a few tweaks I could do to get the best out of it.
Things I have found so far: replace the coils with Eibachs to lower it a bit and improve cornering, get a re-mapper, 4-2-1 stainless steel exhaust and possibly change the cams for FRP ones.
Any thoughts ?
Then use it! Could make snide remarks about boysand their toys but in order to be polite will refrain. Do you actually enjoy messing about with bits of an inanimate object?
Is a slightly fast car like a slightly fast woman?
Blimey Daisy - steady on ! Each to its own - the bike has its uses as does the car, both have their own particular practicalities (and why the H am I explaining this!) LOL
Get this then: *sometimes* I use the car to transport the bike around :-O
