would that not have been a red light?
|
|
It would have been red and amber if red came next? - just missing an amber means you were on green...?

I would wait another couple of weeks, a friend of mine got his speeding fine letter after 3 and a half weeks

No, I don't think you are safe kev, unless it was a fake one just to get you frightened. If I can get done for £30 in a car park just because I have put my disabled card up the wrong way then I am pretty certain you had better wait for a while before you are sure. I did write with a good excuse and didn't have to pay. Can you think of one which might get you off the hook?

I received an invitation to attend a Speed Awareness Course in this mornings post for doing 37 in a 30 zone, Never even saw the bloody thing let alone the "Flash"

Ok thanks for your replies, yes it had gone to red and i was half way through it so my own fault regardless, i have no excuses and im willing to take the £60 and 3 points punishment, im hoping that it had no film in it due to Council cuts etc but i definately dont think it was a dummy as it flashed twice and nearly brought on a fit it was that bright and quick! ha every morning from now is vital really and im a bag of nerves when i get in frm work wondering whats dropped through the letter box! ha its the 3 points thats the real killer i suppose but finger's crossed that my licence stay's clean!! ;)

I got pulled over for speeding once by a copper on a motorbike, was told I would receive a fixed penlty in the post. Two weeks later to the day I received a fixed penalty but it was from a mobile speed camera from somewhere I had never been and the car in the picture was a Ford Focus whereas my car is an Opel Vectra. A screw on the registration plate of the Focus made a number 8 look like a number 6, that was the only difference between the two registration numbers.
I e-mailed the fixed penalty office and it never went to court. The cop on the motorbike who pulled me over must have a bad memory or terrible handwriting. Maybe some old dear from Carshalton in an Austin 7 got my penalty notice? |
