My Yaris has just passed its MOT but i have been advised that my front discs and pads need renewing. As a pensioner I have been caught before and I wander if anyone could advise me a reasonable price I should expect to pay for this type of repair .

discs & pads cost roughly £40 / £50 on ebay, just need somebody to quote you on fitting them, same sort of money again OR less to fit,
I would say £100 is a good price for the whole job.
somebody will no doubt disagree :-) don't go to Kw?? Fi??
Euro Car Parts (who are normally reasonably priced for parts – and supply to garages), would charge around £70 for the parts (pads & discs).

Therefore I would expect to pay something close to £150 all in.
Just paid £120 for ford mondeo at reputable main dealer.
tooj - If it's and advisory notice you don't need to rush into anything - just ask around locally at independent garages - You maybe able to buy secondhand discs from a breaker - did MOT station advise you as to what minimum disc width is for yor model and what yours were measured at? You could always ask them
tooj - you can get a set of discs and pads from this company
