So who murdered Archie Mitchell? (and who cares?!) I cannot seriously see how anyone can really think that Peggy can have been the killer - she's about 4'10" and Archie looked to be over 6', so Peggy probably can't even lift the Queen Vic bust, let alone get high enough to cosh Archie over the head with it. I reckon that Phil did it, although if we could reinstate the death penalty in time, then I'd suggest that Sam gets it!
Also have you noticed that at the end of each episode the actors have obviously been told to hold their last position for at least 10 seconds - it looks most peculiar!

Archie was already on the floor when Queen Victoria landed on his head.

Since Barbara WIndsor and Daniella Westbrook are due to leave the show shortly, my money's on one or both of them.
but phil is no taller than peggy either!
No I think it's Sean Slater, Stacey's bruv.
That would be a good twist.
Correct saxy - Archie was bending down or similar. Lots of peeps don't remember that detail. A mate at work does - which is why she thinks it's Ben!

Nah ... it just fell off the bar onto his head! ... supernatural activity ... a case for Derek Acorah

Well now,
Larry Lamb (Archie) is 6ft 4"
Barbara Windsor (Peggy) is "4 11".
So unles Archie was on the floor already she couldn't reach!
So Ileave that to you.
As I said in a previous answer,my money is on the ghost of Dr Legg, but that was before the height of the murderer was an issue.I rest my case.
It could be Grant. He had a contract with the BBC whereby he would make a certain amount of appearances in EE per year. Peggy went to see Grant in Portugal when she was desperate for money... Could Grant have slipped unnoticed into the Vic and murdered his stepfather, when everybody else thought he was in Portugal. Could the script writers be paving the way to write his character back into the programme?
As I've said before Archie died of a heart attck and the programn makers want to eek it out with a whodunnit to get the viewers in. And everyone is falling for it. Doh!
J
Jem... a heart attack wouldn't account for the gigantic gash in his head, and all the blood on the floor....
it was rolly no question about it .
My moneys on Bradley as he's leaving and they dont seem to be focusing too much on him yet
You`ll all know on Februray 9th.
I stopped watching Eastenders when my anti-depressants ran out - but I did see Archie getting thwacked by Queen Victoria (well when you're in someone else's house over Christmas you watch what they watch, don't you?) Anyway, I'm fascinated by all your suggestions - but what about that dog? What was his name ... Wellard? Maybe it was him, or is he already dead?
I.m still betting on a heart attack. He was already dead when the bust was dropped on him but no-one knew, Dooff-Dooff- Dooff............
jem.
Nobody has mentioned either that Mo Slater grasped the bust for supprt when she said she didn't feel well.........did she unwittingly shift it and make it teeter on the edge of the bar only to fall later and be a red herring in the murder case?
