I went to the North Norfolk coast last year and loved it.

All the way from Hunstanton on the west to Cromer further east, via Wells and Sherringham.

There are no motorways, no huge holiday resorts, lots of quiet lanes, loads of big beaches and big skies, and lots of nature and bird watching.

It is like England was 50 years ago, and that is a compliment.

I hope kingdom doesn't encourage thousands of people who will spoil it !

the little village on sundays episode (where the cross dresser lived) was Castle-Acre about 5 miles from Swaffham.

i quite like the idea of living in a small community and close enough to the sea, so that i have somewhere peaceful to go and dwell on my own thoughts.

ah but swaffham is not close to the sea. you have to travel bout half hour

the wonder of TV means that market shipborough appears to be at the coast. Swaffham is where the office, pub and a few of the houses are and the beach is holkham and the overhead shots of seaside are wells-next-the-sea

thanks for spoiling the illusion. im going to cry now..lol

being from the midlands and usually going to somerset or north wales for my seaside trips, i dont know anything about norfolk.
i did one trip to great yarmouth, but didnt venture far enough north to wells.
i think from what ive seen on kingdom, its something i ought to investigate more.

Swaffham is nice, I love living here. But if you want to visit seaside, Wells is nice, or little town near like Holt. :-)
