At least the Tories won’t need to worry about them, as they are unlikely to have the where-with-all to vote in the election (voter ID, proof of address etc).

You forgot to acknowledge that mortgage rates are below the rates under Blair and Brown from 1997 until the 2008 financial crash

I’m sure that information will warm the hearts of the rough sleepers.

Who are they, hymie?  If they're not British they're not eligible to vote anyway.

where did BBC Breakfast get that figure?

What do you suggest the government does to alleviate the problem?

Question Author

So it’s down to me to fix the problem of rough sleepers (and no doubt the disaster that Brexit has caused).

Question Author

Mind you, I could fix the Brexit disaster by re-joining the EU – simple.

you really are a Moaning Minnie Hymie!

"So it’s down to me to fix the problem of rough sleepers..."

No it isn't. But if you studied the problem of rough sleepers in London you would find that there is very little any government can do to cure most of it. This is for various reasons which you would discover if you researched the topic rather than simply quoted BBC headlines.

One thing we should all be grateful for if a Labour government comes to power is that you will not be continually posting on here, blamng them for all the country's problems (which will undoubtedly still exist and probably have worsened by the time they leave office). You obviously blame the current government for this problem so let me re-phrase the question: what do you think a Labour governement would do about it?

Hymie, how has Brexit caused it?  Brexit means fewer people coming in - not more.  You're making no sense.

Question Author

The other Tory Mantra ‘What would Labour do about it?’

Well Hymie, any suggestions?

Or are you just hot air?

You could start by fixing your OP.

Mortgage rates coming down now don't make a whole lot of difference to the ones who have already lost their homes due to the stupid moves that Liz Truss made, hence many of them sleeping rough, not just in London. Cons broke it, now they should fix it. Any FREE hotels available??

It's a shame Mr Khan (Labour) doesnt address this issue.

nicebloke1 - can you name me one - JUST ONE - person who fits that description?

Lenders of mortgages dont give names out, so dont lets be a silly billy.

ah - so you've just assumed that be be the case. right ho!

Naomi 9:09 "Brexit means fewer people coming in - not more." Maybe you're mistaken there.

I don't think so, atheist.  Before Brexit almost 450 million people had free access to this country.  Crikey!  Imagine if they all took advantage of that!  Good old Brexit!
