//Justin Bieber, Coldplay and Katy Perry are among the stars who will join Ariana Grande at a benefit concert following the Manchester attack. The One Love Manchester show will raise money for those affected by the blast which left 22 dead. Take That, Miley Cyrus and Pharrell will also play at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground gig on Sunday. Grande is offering free tickets to fans who were at her Manchester Arena show on 22 May.//

According to BBC television news tonight some feel it’s too soon but each and every one of those performers could fill a venue without the others in tow and I think it’s to be commended. What say you?

They didn't need to do this and it seems to be done in a heartfelt way to honour their fans.

Yes it was probably some PR execs idea, but so what? Good on them, I say.
Heard this on the News, I think it's a good move.

Yes, go for it, great idea, will repair her reputation imo.

No complaint from me.

Interested to know Baldric, why you feel she has to repair her reputation?
no one has criticised Ariana for haring home with her mum in a borrowed jet like a terrified bunny rabbit

I mean think Sir Elton John - I am sure he would have been down the Children's Hospital like a rat up a drain pipe,
St Mary's Outpatients has a piano in it and I can see him belting out - I remember when Rock was Young .....

what was Ariana's tour called ?
Dangerous Woman
Fried Rabbit is more like it - should be Frit Rabbit I suppose
or perhaps Chicken Pieces - Cold Turkey.....
I doubt she had much choice in leaving town, surrounded by her team she'll have been whisked away.

Her reputation is intact I feel.

Got to say had I been her I'd have hopped it too. Criticism on that score is unwarranted.

I've seen a mother of a girl who was injured in the bombing saying it was disrespectful to do a concert so soon when some are still not out of hospital. I think Ariana (or her agents) were trying to do the best she(they) could.
A hoary old performer like Cher, Elton or Madonna would be confident enough to leave their team to 'do one' - this lass is 23 and was thousands of miles from home.
^ to tell their team

People are strange.
Divebuddy, I agree.

There will be many who will pontificate that she should have done this or failed to do that.

On an evening of high emotion, there were many who could not make sense of what had happened.

She will have been given advice from those close to her but no doubt, this wouldn't be enough for her critics.
// I hope it wipes out any negatives about her getting out of town so fast.//

I think everyone realised that she is a standard screaming weepy teenager - blubbing - they wanna kill me !
She's 23.

Peter Pedant, I've said it before and I'll say it again. You're an idiot. And if this post is zapped, so be it - but shame on the zapper.
Actually I'm struggling to answer this. Initially I was thinking great ... show the terrorist we will not be cowed.
Then I thought well I didn't lose a loved one at that concert but if I had I don't think I would be taking any comfort from it.
