The One Love Manchester show will raise money for those affected by the blast which left 22 dead. Take That, Miley Cyrus and Pharrell will also play at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground gig on Sunday. According to BBC television news tonight some feel it’s too soon but each and every one of those performers could fill a venue without the others in tow and I think it’s to be commended. What say you?

Talbot, I agree - but I don't think it's aimed at bringing comfort to the bereaved necessarily. Nothing can do that. I think it's a gesture. People can only do their best. What more can anyone do or say?
-- answer removed --
I understand that point Talbot, certainly those who lost loved ones won't be feeling anything but pain.

As far as I know the only person I know affectedly (only as in shocked) was the classmate (aged 10) of my Granddaughter - will she want to return to another crowded concert?

I'll find out, but somehow doubt it.
//what was Ariana's tour called ? Dangerous Woman//

Dangerous woman met more dangerous man.

Wasn't it Manchester police who apologised for using the jihadist war cry "Allahu Akbar" in last year's simulation of just such an act of terrorism?
Fourth anniversary of Lee Rigby's murder by the way.

Agree with poster who said that staying and visiting victims in hospital would have been nice.
.

Those who attended will, in many cases, feel a lack of confidence about being in the company of a crowd.

There will surely be many who will say 'thanks, but no thanks'.
I think you're right ag, but I'm sure it will be well attended.
Absolutely Mamya.

I may be wrong but, I think an aber or two commented on the speed in which the young performer left after the atrocity. ?
4th post (Divebuddy's) for starters Anne.
Ruffec, had an opinion
Not forgetting that upstanding citizen and trumps friend, piers Morgan.
I don't know how true it is, but I heard she was also paying for the funerals of all the victims. That is exceedingly generous of her.
I didn't even know they were ABers ... amazing.

## I doubt she had much choice in leaving town, surrounded by her team she'll have been whisked away. ##

I agree 100% with you Mamya.
I think its going to be a headache for the Police & Security, as Man Utd have a testimonial match the same day, so there's going to be approx 150 thousands people, within a mile of each venue.

## I mean think Sir Elton John - I am sure he would have been down the Children's Hospital like a rat up a drain pipe, ##

Why are you so sure of that PP?
trt, the first thing is that these events don't just happen so police and others will have been asked, informed and have obviously given it the nod.
Second and much more important is that it's also a GIRFUY to the murderous slime that oozes among us hoping to scare us back to living in mud huts and going poop round the back with the goats.

I am quite aware of that Doug, I was just mentioning it, as it was being discussed on the news.

The Inspector said ''that security will be in place at both events, and shouldn't be a problem''.
Well he is not going to say, ''its going to be very difficult to keep everybody safe'', is he?

I just hope that its a good day for everybody, and safe.
I think it's a nice gesture of good will from the all the Artists getting involved, some understandably think it's too soon but I feel its still good on their part to at least show some solidarity.

Man United have moved Michael Carrick's testimonial a few hours earlier than originally scheduled so as not to coincide with the concert.
