Has this series lost the plot? It is too ridiculous to waste time trying to fathom it out.

Judge...not Fudge....sorry...x
Didn't see the start last night, stumbled upon it while looking for something worth watching. Seemed to be very surreal, what with the inmate taking over the asylum and so forth. Maybe I missed a vital bit at the beginning.
Be sure I watched two episodes, I decided to stick with it. It was fairly gripping but I don't like fantasies and can't say I really enjoyed this series. It wascglad to see the gorgeous Art Malik though!!
Because I watched ......... Good old predictive text.

Sorry guys I'm an old fuddy duddy who objects very strongly to the trend these days of taking old masterpieces & mutilating them for the sake of modern TV.
"But NJ hasn't watched it. He watched 10 mins of series 1."

That's when it lost the plot as far as I'm concerned.

"Judge...not Fudge....sorry...x"

C'mon. Don't tell me that was a mistake. The 'J' and the 'F' are a good bit apart :-)

"Seemed to be very surreal, what with the inmate taking over the asylum and so forth."

Nothing surreal about that, OG. Happens quite a lot!

It was like Scooby Doo meets Doctor Who meets Sherlock. Terrible. Absoloutly terrible. The plot line was so disjointed it looked like an x ray of Barry Sheen's legs.
Both are index finger keys, New Judge....I did apologise.
Thanks Mamya, that's how I found out about Paul Weller, blink and you miss him! I did think Wanda Ventham looked familiar but I had to concentrate so hard on the plot ihought no more about it.
Definitely fast moving yes, I missed Paul's cameo completely.

We'll never all agree on what we like to watch but there's room for quirky new angles on everything rather than a strict adherence to the originals.

Those are all readily available to most of us anyway.
I loved Sherlock last night - I've watched all of them but yes I've read a lot of scathing reviews about it.
Mamya, I'm all for quirky angles and loved the first few but when the writer runs out of ideas and resorts to something akin to a really bad James Bond plot combined with completely unbelievable characters (Eoros...or whatever she was called) and disjointed plot lines (how did she get from the prison to the attic bedroom of their old house?) it just becomes farcical.
I guess like some I manage to suspend belief when watching fiction and fantasy.

Maybe being a keen fan of Sci-Fi helps,
I'm a very keen Sci-Fi fan too.
"Both are index finger keys, New Judge....I did apologise."

Yes you did, gness, and your apology is accepted. I was only being mischievous :-)
Very nice of you, Now Budge.
I won't bear a ....grudge....x
