It's been turned into some sort of soap. Just watched the latest instalment and it's terrible. What's wrong with a good old fashioned detective story?

I gave up on the last series half way through, gave up on this series after 20 minutes.

I did enjoy Endeavour, though :)
Agreed.......too many tricks and not enough substance........Ben Cum speaks so fast it's difficult to know what he is saying half the time......and her ghost is a waste of space too.......I hated it.....
I quite enjoyed Sundays episode. You do need to pay attention though.
Sure is terrible, Tora - it has now officially 'jumped the shark' ! The Culverton Smith part as (over)played by Toby Jones was the most unbelievable, cartoon character I've seen in many a long year. Fed up with actors overacting: Tom Hardy in Taboo, and Jack Deam totally ruins the previously light and enjoyable Father Brown. Don't the directors and producers notice?. Oh, wait a minute - Sue Vertue, who produces Sherlock, is married to Steven Moffat who created and writes it with Mark Gatiss, who plays Mycroft. Bah !
I enjoy it. Very clever. It must have been quite a challenge to write the actress out ( Dr Watson's wife)
I enjoyed it.

No! PMSL!
I am really enjoying Sherlock and Fr Brown
I loved it as always, you daren't blink it moves so fast.
Woofgang, don't you agree that Jack Deam, who plays Inspector Mallory in Father Brown, overacts with his constant gurning etc. I, too, like this programme (though Lady Felicia and Sid are missed) but he really gets on my nerves.
I honestly hadn’t noticed any gurning...I do miss Sid though.
I can't get into Sherlock, I prefer Endeavour.
I have given up on it. Too much of the drug induced hallucinations and weird stuff. Shame because I enjoyed the first two series.
I'm a big fan of Father Brown and don't mind the new inspector. I think Bunty will be a breath of fresh air
Oh I like Endevour too.
Blame Moriarty!!
I liked it but I have to confess that I'm still not sure whether the serial killers daughter actually visited him or if he imagined it. But how else would he have known about the piece of paper with the notes?

Smow, it wasn’t the serial killer’s daughter, it was Girl on the Bus, aka John’s counsellor aka Sherlock and Mycroft’s psycho sister
Ahhhhhh!! (So did the killer not have a daughter?? ) brain is addled now lol
yes killer did have a daughter (I think) The woman who turned up in the mortuary when Sherlock texted her was a different woman.
