Mikey you don't understand the wisdom of the Great Man. ALthough in fairness who does? It was interesting to see ex-mayor Giuliiani being interviewed the other night. The subtext was "What is a sensible, achieving republican like you doing supporting Trump" but Mr Giuliani rose to the challenge: "All Trump's statements are just negotiating positions"...

Wrong thread, WBM? ;)
Yup! :o{
The times I've done that... :/
More lefty media scoffing, and on top the usual name calling from you Mickey.

Just because you disagree with someone they are not daft/loony/ghastly or any other term you often choose.

Let us see how the Trump campaign develops. After all his opposition is not that great either!
It seems some more rational types view it as symbolic, although I don't know why given how Trump describes it (maybe if is simply hope); while those least in touch with reality seem to think they can knock up a wall similar to one that took about 200 years to build, within a single presidential period of office, get someone else to pay for it out of charity, and man it with troops to shoot civilians still trying to enter. It shows that there's a range of folk out there.
Barbarians at gates have their uses. But eventually:

And now, what’s going to happen to us without barbarians?
They were, those people, a kind of solution.
I don't know why this was posted. It isn't particularly newsworthy or funny.

This thread actually got me thinking.
I especially like bacon, smokey cheese and jalapeno sandwiches

It was interesting to see ex-mayor Giuliiani being interviewed the other night. The subtext was "What is a sensible, achieving republican like you doing supporting Trump" but Mr Giuliani rose to the challenge:
"All Trump's statements are just negotiating positions" claimed Rudi. "He's a businessman"
So, with that in mind, I think you'll find that "the wall" is simply His Trumpness's opening gambit. He'll allow himself to be talked down to something less imposing: perhaps a hawthorn hedge, a haha, or even a long patio with a polite "Do not enter" sign :-)
I'm keeping a close eye on this project, we may have to build one ourselves the way JimmyK is carrying on.
Trump reminds me so much of Boris. Trumps present tour can be compared with Boris's Brexit Tour , Full of Bulls..., and lies, typical pair of Americans.

ichkeria....I saw the same interview with Giuliani as you did...Jon Snow on CH4 last night.

What in effect Giuliani was saying was that Trump lied, in order to get himself noticed. He then went on to say what a marvelous chap Trump really was, when he stopped lying. I wasn't convinced of his stance one little bit.

The reality here is that the Republican Party could have stepped in, at any point in the last few months and made sure that someone other than Trump was their candidate, but instead, they spent the time, arguing amongst themselves and sleepwalking into the situation that they are now facing.
".....they spent the time, arguing amongst themselves and sleepwalking into the situation that they are now facing. " - remind you of any other party mikey?
"I don't know why this was posted. It isn't particularly newsworthy or funny. "

mikey decides whats newsworthy on here....

TTT....but, as you never tire of telling me, the Labour Party is not in any danger of achieving power any time soon.

But we could see Trump as the 45th President of the USA. Theres the difference.
