They were the same folk before the win as after, they just had not freedom to do things they wanted instead of needing to do the sensible prudent things. I feel fairly sure such a windfall would enhance my life even if it could not solve everything.
I would never announce it. I don't know what I'd do with that amount. None of my family are struggling financially so I doubt they'd be arguments over it.
When my granddad died he'd written one of his children out of his will. The other siblings decided that she wasn't to know and divided the money as if she was included.

It would certainly help me fulfil some of my dreams, not sure if that would make me happier. That amount is too much. OH and I have already decided we wouldn't tell anybody, certainly not a win of that size, I'd rather give the bulk away anonymously.
