I dont know Anne, but yesterday they said they thought they wouldnt have reached Syria yet because of adverse weather conditions there.

Most airlines accept children aged 12 or over to fly alone without special arrangements, some accept children aged 6 and over with special arrangements but it very much depends not only on the airline but the destination and whether there are overnight stopovers.

My daughter used to fly alone to Ireland from the age of 7. The airline provided an escort and you had to name the person who was greeting them. Then they changed the age to 12 and an escort was no longer provided.
