Yes it is, vakayu. When did this price hike happen? I was expecting to pay around £3.99.
Look out for it to be even higher in price shortly, that is all the excuse they need to hike the price up just so the customer can be assured of quality and source!!Mince a luxury meal soon.
It's not just mince Tilly, the price of every thing keeps creeping up, every time we go shopping we seem to get less and pay more.
I have a feeling they have opened a massive can of worms here with a lot of our produce we can't source it for sure as ingredients become more expensive they are continually cutting corners and seeking cheaper alternatives.
Fresh food isn't in question though.
how much is a can of worms now?
Excel you may well jest last night of new Food and Drink programme they were processing meal worms for consumption seemingly it is the future processed insects!!

Thanks for the link to ASDA mamyalynne. We don't have an ASDA here. Wish we did. We have a Morrisons coming soon . Hopefully ,their prices will be better.
Can of worms? Thought it was spaghetti in tomato sauce!
After the weather we've had for the past 18 months the price of anything grown in this, and other countries is bound to go up in price.
Many pastures have been too wet for grazing, so farmers have had to buy cattle food in to feed their beef stock. Either the price goes up or the farmer goes bankrupt.
Expect the same to happen with bread, flour and most other domestic produce.

It's just so depressing. How will we manage when we can't afford mince!
Graham-w yes that's perfectly true, insects may well be the answer then of our protein!
Sainsbury`s have put their prices up on just about everything. Two weeks ago a pack of turkey thigh mince was £2 and now it`s £2.25. Turkey breast mince was £4, now £4.50. Their campagnie bread has now had a "Taste the Difference" tag slapped on it and the price has increased by 30%. Farmers wholesale prices for a lamb have dropped dramatically but the supermarkets are charging the earth. It`s all about profit. Unfortunately, it`s the likes of Sainsburys who are making the profit.
I get my mince from the butcher. It's marginally more expensive than that from the supermarket, but there is hardly any fat so you end up with more meat in your plate.
