OMG, the emotions. Lab chimps freed from cages after years.

Has anyone seen this video of the lab chimps apparently freed after spending all of their alive in cages. Some apparently have never seen sunlight. Look especially around the 35 second mark, what unbelievable euphoria followed by more wariness. It really is almost human-like.

Interesting that everyone is saying that they are laughing - and I am sure they are feeling elation - but I read once that chimps bare their teeth like that when they are uncertain about a situation - which I'm sure they are too! I love the way they came out then ran back in, as if they shouldn't be there!

This is always an emotional subject. Extremely cruel to use these intellegent animals as lab test subjects. Fortunately the testing is now (mainly) more animal friendly. But let's not forget that thanks to the forced lab life these animals suffered, there are many people alive today.

Thanks for the link flob, it is a brilliant 'feeling good' moment.
