We had it yesterday, very windy today

It's cold here too but I don't care. We have a hose-pipe ban and my brown lawn and parched borders are depressing me
Weve had rain off an on for 3 days. Yesterday was horrible. But on the whole the rain has been very welcome for us and the gardens
been raining on off all week here

I've lost so many plants; it's like survival of the fittest out there.
I must be a mug - I put my washing out this morning, grrrr
Aye we have been due some rain. Just seems like summer has taken a holiday.
Lots of rain here yesterday and really windy, still windy today but less rain alhtough I've just looked out the window and it may be back!

Still really quite humid beyond all the wind though. Really hot in work but blowing a gale on the way home!
mrs overall- I put my washing out this morning and it was dry after an hour so I fetched it in luckily cos it rained whilst I was out. I think its gonna be like this for a couple of days
sunny, but very high winds here on the south coast.
My gardens are loving it :-)
We need more rain in Surrey please. For about two weeks.
We have had rain for the last 48 hours
A few more days, you'll be loving mowing again! : )
Back to a foot a week then.
Hi albags have a gardner, let it grow
I have a gardener but it costs me whenever he comes. Still the plants needed a good soaking.
Gran - would you like to rephrase that ^ or is it just me and a lack of sleep?
It's been really wet and windy here for a few days now, but last night was really stormy, and today hasn't been much better!.............Summer over then!.............
we had drains put in the lawn as it was flooding - and we immediately had three months of drought so all the grass above the drainpipes is dying and the strips of turf are shrinking back and leaving vast cracks. I have plugged them all with compost and planted grass seed, but we've had a couple of showers in the last two days and that will at least help the scars heal.
