This is all very well, but Rob isn't going to go away, is he? I think that Hamlet said something that would fit this situation: we have merely scotched the snake, not killed it.
Phew - squeaky bum time tonight ...

... but I also think we may be in an "I'll be back" scenario - and who knows what the evilursula may do ...
Heavy rain, muddy verge, a fallen branch - and Pat and Kirsty just happen along the same road....and the heroine talks the villain into submission.

Yeah right!

I'm surprised Helen's car radio/CD wasn't playing an Ennio Morricone track!

Helen's reputation has gone up no end in my opinion. She was firm and strong.....even Pat was left foundering in the background. I am hoping that bloodhounds will be called out on Sunday, to catch Rob !
Silly woman should have reported it to the police. She needs everything she can get on him just in case because you never know what he might do next.
ladybirder - I think Pat or Kirsty was going to ring the police. They overruled Helen
Good I hope so hw, at the risk of stating the obvious, Jack won't remember this incident but poor Henry will.
Question Author
I enjoyed last night so much, I am listening to it again now !
That's masochism Mikey !!!!!
Question Author
Hellywelly....its even better the second time around...try it !
I listened at 2 am, I found it to be a bit of a let down, I'd expected a more drawn out event, everything seemed to be very convenient. Poor Henry, he's probably going to spend the rest of his life in therapy.
Question Author
Zebo....I would have referred a nice long, armed siege as well !

But Rob is being destroyed inch by inch, and I would think that he will take his own life soon. That will save Helen an awful lot of money and heartache in the medium and long run.
"...I would think that he will take his own life soon."

That would be plot recycling, as Helen's already had a husband who topped himself - with a gun in the shepherds' hut.
Question Author
4candles....a case of history repeating itself then perhaps !
mikey4444 - Possible I suppose, though I doubt Rob would have the courage to do it.
Question Author
4candles...he is losing his mind...who knows what he might do ?

Perhaps an accident cleaning one of his shotguns ?

I am looking forward to PC Burns getting off his fat behind this evening, for the first time in months, especially when he is told about the culvert blocking !
Question Author
And what about the ruddy culvert PC Plod ?

Perhaps he hasn't been told ?
He's someone else's problem now!
I've been thinking....if Rob had succeeded in kidnapping Jack, how would he have got him to Minneapolis? He must have got his own visa all sorted out, and booked his ticket before he tried to nick the baby, but what would have been his next action? Strange, it's a bit convenient all round, isn't it. I should be surprised if he stays in America.
He hasn't had time to arrange a job back in Minneapolis surely?
Petty to say 'when the police finally arrived' if you didn't bother to phone until it was all over!
When will Henry start to really kick off, he hasn't mentioned Rob saying that he wasn't his real Daddy yet? Will he take it out on Jack? A mini-Rob in the making?
