I do think Jill is being a bit silly. The more she goes on, the more she pushes P and T together. I know it's understandable but if she just tolerated him then the relationship wouldn't be so exciting for Pip.

Jill has been a village character for many years, and I rather like the way that she is still making her views known. She can be a feisty person when she wants t be, as the local Hunt have discovered to their cost over the years. She is right about the Farebrother boy of course....he will break Pips heart and it will all be Pips fault.

Wait until her Dad finds out that she is going to pour her profits from the cattle down the gin-soaked drain !

Jill's opposition to him seems to be based upon her memories of his father Robin and his relationship with Elizabeth. She has had a down on both of them from their first appearance because of their father.

Not listened but it seems that Linda has fallen off her high-horse! I find her character vey unbelievable, if she carried on like that in my village she'd get short shrift! If anyone tries to be like that they're normally referred to a Our Linda Snell.
