What has happened to the new Egghead Pat

The new Egghead Pat seems to have disappeared. His picture does not come up at the beginning nor does he take part in the quiz or are the current programmes repeats

I think he has returned to his previous occupation as a Postman as he was missing Jess.

This series was probably filmed before Pat won. They don't run in chronological order, as can be seen from CJ's hair cuts.

According to the paper, these programmes aren't repeats. I'd wondered about him too.

He probably got fed up with Daphne with her squeaking "I don't know the answer Dermot/Jeremy", then always gets the answer RIGHT and then has the brass neck to act surprised! I think Carrust's answer is probably right - judging by CJ's hair - loved his hairband look.
