Anybody else think this is going downhill and getting very boring with too many Personal stories?

Yes, stopped watching a few years ago, started again this season to see if it had got any better and gave up again when Ruth woke up>

definitely ,especially with Ruth ,what a miserable character

I stopped watching it years ago, after trying to explain the plot line(s) to someone else. Whenver a new character comes along I'd think 'oh, they look interesting' only to find out they have some dreadful dark secret and eveything goes horribly wrong for them....
Similarly, I stopped watching ER when I realised I didn't sympathise or identify with any of the characters.
