red what you do in your bedroom on a sunday night is not a suitable topic for a family site, : )
Peter Kay is good but Connelly is about as funny as shingles, I just can't see it myself, all he does is stand there and swear. I've got no idea how he's managed to get the status he has, there's guy's on those comedy store type shows that are better than Connelly! Jack Dee, Peter Kay, even Jimmy Carr are miles better.
dont be silly, that was afterwards! i turned big light out in preparation :)
I agree with loosehead, there are many people who I prefer to Billy Connolly. My very favourite is Eddie Izzard though. Love him.
Norman Wisdom?
I agree 100 % with the comments about Billy Connely - I know humour is a subjective thing , however I dont find him funny , at all .
Billy is hilarious. Yes, he swears, but it isn't as bad as the filthy unfunny people like chubby brown or bernard manning (may they burn in bogner).

Eddie Izzard is my favourite and Robin Williams is ALWAYS on top form... so much energy.
Apparently Robin Williams has a reputation for stealing other comedians material.
Some comics have been known to just walk off the stage when he enters the comedy club.
Roy chubby brown
Vic and Bob.... my heroes!
Chubby Brown was heckled when he was here in Corby recently and he walked off stage for about 15-20 minutes. For a comedian wi a reputation that he has, you'd have thought he could handle a wee bit heckling but he was mince.
Bernard Manning is funny, not all his jokes are about Blacks and Pakistanis

But he`ll always be known as the `fat racist bast@rd`

As for being dropped by TV companys.....he says `They`re about 8 million too late`
Love Peter Kay,hate Billy Connelly, not funny at all. I don't mind Lee Evans and Ben Elton except when he goes all political.
there are loads more.

I am luck enought to like in greenwich, and go "up the creek" similar to comedy store etc on a sunday for 5.

The people i have seen in there have been hillarios - to name two mark watson and russell howard....
I went to watch jimmy carr a few months ago and i fell out of my seat holding my stomach as he was so funny.
Billy Connoly knows how to deliver a joke brilliantly, the content is a bit bums and farts for my liking. I think he is really engaging to watch, so I find him amusing for those reasons and I can see why he tops the bill for stand up lists time after time. Peter Kaye is pretty funny but not brilliant.

Personally I think, Eddie Izzard is the funniest man alive. He is just brilliant, the way he just gets lost going off on a tangent and he can do it in french and german too. I would add Bill Bailey, Ross Noble, Jack Dee and Ricky Gervais to the list of people funnier than those two tho.

I cannot stand Lee Evans, I think Bernard Manning, Roy Chubby Brown and Kevin Bloody Wilson are jst awful. Along with Jethro I would be surprised if anyone under 50 foud them amusing. Oh and add Jim Davidson to the about as funny as a train wreck list.
I have never found Billy Connelly funny.

How about Steve Coogan? I love him! Vic & Bob have always done it for me as have Morecambe & Wise, The Two Ronnies & Norman Wisdom.

The Mary Whitehouse Experience are truly missed :o(
Peter Kay and Billy Connelly are great. I just don't get Eddie Izzard any more. He used to be hilarious, and then I saw his DVD - was it called "Sex" or something? - and it was complete and utter pants. I have had more fun at the dentist. It was embarrassingly bad, and he knew it. He kept pleading with the audience to laugh, and failing. Ever since then I have found it difficult to enjoy his stuff.
Ah, the Mary WHitehouse Experience... here you go Pippa.....
