You cant give a baby medication to sleep. You need to find the reason for him not sleeping, if there is one. Has he always been like this (some babys take years to sleep through) or is it a recent thing? Is he overtired and therefore unable to settlwe himself
Where does he have his naps during the day? Do you hold him then?
A set bedtime routine is always a good base to start from, usually bath, bottle then bed.
Does he cry or is it just that hes awake?
ive just answered your other post,so your babies only 6mths,please dont give it anything if things are that bad go to the doctors he will advice you what to do,also at your clinic there should be a baby sleep clinic
If you know that he is happy when he goes to bed, has had his milk, nappy changed etc, let him cry himself to sleep. Stand over the cot to let him know that you are there, but don't pick him up. It will be the most painful couple of nights that you've ever had, but trust me, it works. My second son was in a routine right from the very first night at home and we have never had to do that with him, but it really does work..
