One of them had his ear cut off and was forced forced to eat it. It's what happens when terrorists are arrested by other terrorists

Probably a door on the way to a fight of stairs and an open window.

Oh well.

Rowley would probably have given them tea and biscuits.

It takes a lot of convincing to Persuade IS members that they are Ukrainian.

This is where they're from.  //The Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic,[a] also commonly known as Soviet Tajikistan, the Tajik SSR, or simply Tajikistan, was one of the constituent republics of the Soviet Union which existed from 1929 to 1991 located in Central Asia.//   Wiki

Allegedly from Tajikistan - now an independent -ish country. But probably.
This is the doublethink of the Kremlin: continue to spout multiple false narratives while plainly the arrestees have no connection with Ukraine.

yeah I am not sure if we should be glorifying the FSB interroagiton methods - a bit stalinist - you just beat them until they say what you want.

" You know we are gonna shoot you. But you can determine the time that you are kicked and beaten by confessing"

er no I am not talking from experience

The arrestees might be persuaded that if they claim to have been working for Ukraine they will be rewarded by not being executed. They might fall for it.

They will 'Fall' at some point I am sure.

i wonder why they didn't kill themselves before they were captured

Meanwhile, as evidence mounts that this was indeed an attact by IS & or co, Medvedev &co continue to make bloodcurling threats to "kill everyone" responsible, "everyone" ranging from Ukraine to the "main bar stewards" as Britain is referred to.

Every day Putin sends up to 1000 of his citizens to their deaths in Ukraine - an estimated 6000 in the last week. So I'd say that 140-odd in Krasnogorsk is a mere detail, as someone once said ...

Why weren't they killed before they were captured? I suppose someone told them that suicide wasn't necessary.

It's a murky world. (I've just finished re-reading Le Carre's 'A Legacy of Spies')

they must have known what would happen to them... i suppose it's possible they didn't have the chance to do it but i find that hard to believe... if it were only some of them then you could assume the rest had lost their nerve or something. but every last attacker captured seems like quite an unusual outcome. all of the november 2015 attackers in paris died and most of them were suicides if i remember correctly.

It's a pointless exercise speculating on why they did this or that.  Who knows that goes through these people's minds. It would be a natural instinct I would have thought to flee. The fact that there are actually living suspects pretty much kiboshes the idea this was some sort of false flag. The so-called "Nord-ost" theatre siege in 2002 resulted in all the terrorists being shot: none committed suicide. But perhaps significantly, none survived either.

Don't I.S. terrorists usually wear suicide belts ?

"One of them had his ear cut off and was forced forced to eat it."

They must have been picked up by rookies, then. If the hard lads had caught them they'd have cut off something else.

Amateurs. How can you interrogate a suspect if he can't hear what you are asking?

i don't know if they usually use suicide belts but it is  very unusual indeed for ISIS attackers to be taken alive... the ones in france all died (either by the police or suicide) and so did the Nice attacker and the Manchester Arena bomber...

the moscow attackers were also on the run for a while on friday night which suggests they had opportunity too... why didn't they kill themselves?

Today in Kyiv a russian missile hit a childrens gymnasium where miraculously there was no one home.

This sort of terrorism is happening on a daily basis. These are not mistakes: they know what they are doing. So while I sympathise with the victims of Friday's attack I have no sympathy for the state which whines about terrorism and brutalises its suspects, when they are at least as bad.

"IS" is  very broad church. They would recruit who they can, and not all their volunteers are going to be suicide jockeys.

i agree ichkeria
