This late 1960's brit horror was listed in the top 100 scariest movies. I have been told that it is very creepy.

1) is it very scary or any good?

2) It was shown on BBC4 in early decemeber 2005. Will it be repeated, and if so when?

I didn't know that it had been made into a film but would like to see it.It would appear to still be available because I have found it on Tesco's DVD rental page. It stars Michael Hordern and was directed by Jonathan Miller. If you want to read it you'll find it in 'Ghost Stories of an Antiquary' by M.R. James, a collection of truly scary stories.
It's only 42 minutes long and available as a BFI DVD, along with other similar ghostly tales. It's atmospheric but not that creepy. It won't make you jump out of your skin but is worth watching (I suppose that depends on the sort of thing that makes you jump though!)
