I am really enjoying the repeats on Sky Arts. Yesterday's episode with Rod Taylor, Cyril Cusack and John Forgeham was excellent and one I had not seen before.

Must say that the plot was anything but "unexpected", nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable.

Have always liked Rod Taylor since The VIP'S and Cyril Cusack was an excellent actor.

choux, if you like TOTU, you'll probably like "Inside no9" too, very similar premise but a bit more macabre!

I love that one too, Tora :)
it always surprizes me how many stars are in them
I really like the one with I think John Mills as an antiques dealer very funny ending
in it's day it was a bit like Extras, the thing to be in, anyone who was anyone was in it at some point, usually one episode. Even Eli Wallach for example.
some actors, unknown at the time also were in it, eg Terry O'Quin.
eli wallach
was that the brandy glass one ?
yep that's the one
Saw one recently with a young derek jacobi in (as a young artist or similar)- wouldnt of recognised him but for the castlist. Remenber Frank Finlay in one to and John Alderton as a very shy vicar that all the ladies of the parish drooled over.
Timothy West in the one about the Bees, classic.
oh yes, where he starts to turn into a bee. Theres lots of good ones. Some were dissapointing though and seemed american. Do you remember an odd one about a boy who floated off on a turtle
bob, no spoilers!
My brother & I used to refer to this TV program as ‘Tales of the expected’ – as the ending could be easily guessed early on in the plot.

I guess Roald Dahl's fame allowing him to get away with writing such tosh.
Suzanne Danielle

That's it.
