I decided to treat myself on Friday and bought a Nikon D7100. 850 quids worth. Only opened it today to find that there is no battery for it. Grrrrrrr!! Can't get back there today (Jessops) and the phone is constantly engaged. I'll be back tomorrow to give em a roasting!

EEK...
Wouldn't like to be working there tomorrow!
Poor staff training, they should always ask if you have all you need to make your purchase operate.

Nikon too should make it plain on any packaging.
850 quid and battery not included, you couldn't make it up ...
Is it supposed to be included or is it an'optional' extra? I've never bought a camera with no battery, my expensive Pentax annoyed me when there was no way of attaching the lens cap to the body of the camera, seemed such a petty thing. I did think that Jessops had gone out of business.

Should have been in the box.

Unless the camera had been on display (and was sold as such) the fact that the battery had gone awol would make me *very* suspicious that I wasn't the first owner of the camera ...
Check the exposure count for the camera (should be in the menus somewhere).

I feel the same as s-d...no battery when there should be one.....could have been a returned item. I'd want a sealed box if I were paying that much.....or a sizeable discount.
