I know its a bit Jeremy Kyle type of a programme, and have only watched about three, but most of the disputes go back 4/5 years, which seems strange.

The other thing I'm not sure about, is how can a TV judge legally award cost, as the defendant could just say, up yours!

I don't know how anyone could take this person seriously>
It is like Judge Judy - without the wit, wisdom or humour.
I quite like him, but don't think it's anything like the Jeremy Kyle show.
Judge Judy should rule the world, she has so much common sense!
I think he's ever so funny yet I can't tell the difference between a judge and a criminal barrister as he calls himself when doing the promo, 'Hi I'm Rob Rinder, Criminal Barrister .... so is he a judge?
He is only a judge on TV, he is normally a barrister. Judge Judy is a qualified judge. Prefer Judge Judy.
well he is a criminal QC- and has given up a Turks and Caicos case in order to do the second series so it clearly makes money

Experienced QCs frequently moonlight as junior judges - recorders. There are good pension reasons to do this

I think it is OK actually
I can't stand the bloke. He loves humiliating people, just because he can. His jokes aren't even funny.
I think he's really funny.
I could put up with him if he was say, on program like TG; but not in what is a court room. I've seen inside hundreds of court rooms and it isn't nice.

DB: I don't know if I can entirely agree with that. I'm sure NewJudge will say the same.
Judge Grinder was best man at Benedict Cumbersnatch's wedding

I said it because I know how it is for people in NJ's position; in a court room that is.
I think he is fabulous. He makes jokes, to make people feel at their ease in a formal courtroom (an alien environment to most of us). Behind his façade, he seems really caring, and I love watching.

I think that's what made me warm to him. How his facial expressions and tone of voice changes when someone gets upset.

Diz...there was someone in his court the other day suing for £15!
When did I suggest I did? I could of worded it better possibly. I did say 'people in NJ's position' though; not NJ personally. I did also say that I'd think NJ would say the same, however at no point have I said he agrees with me.
