I have watched Corrie since the beginning. Have missed maybe half a dozen episodes at most. But it has changed so much. There is hardly any resemblance
To how it used to be. They have brought in too many weird characters all at once. I get confused who is who. I know I'm sad but I am really sad about all of this. What do you think?

Gail googling in the Ladies and Ghandi giving a false name to the police means a lot of porkypies to be found out!
Gail googling

That should of course be Sally googling!
Have not watched it for years.
It was great when there were characters like Ena and Elsie, Hilda and Stan,
and the blonde barmaid whose name I have forgotten!
Bet Lynch
I had a quick look in last night after this post on playback, and the script is terrible.
EG. after the so called mugging of the bloke who is Tims son in the bistro, Tim shouts over to him, are you not joining in, we are celebrating.

Would you say that if its your son?
I love Corrie but agree with Caran on the current storylines. Katy and her relationship with the druggie is daft and his relationship with his son odd as well surely a drug addict wouldn't be allowed near his kid and one he hardly knows as well, the Gavin Michael storyline needs to be sorted soon as well, lets have more of Mary, Norris etc before they are forgotten about!
I love it, but that's because I live abroad,.
Caribeing, the story line with David, Callum and Max is realistic.

With Kylie out of the picture Callum is only person with parental responsibility as his name is on the birth certificate. David can't adopt him without Callum's consent.
Callum hates David so sees Max as a way of causing David problems and with getting back with Kylie.
Have to agree with you Caran. It's changed beyond all recognition and like you I have watched from day one missing several episodes thru the years but always caught up...sad I know lol. The humour in it used to be first class but these latest story lines seem absurd to me, are they trying to emulate Eastenders or something because if they are they can say goodbye to me as a viewer. I know things change but one would hope for the better, not the worst.
Have no problems with it at all. I love it and am enjoying the present storylines.
Corrie won't improve until the producer Stuart Blackburn leaves.
Emmerdale improved when he left for Corrie.
The scriptwriters need to up their game.

I also think moving to 5 episodes a week dilutes the story lines. Going back to 3 episodes a week will improve the writing and stories.
I haven't watched any of them for years. The storylines are neither accurate nor credible these days. I stopped watching after that plane fell on Emmerdale.
Ah fanriffic that's the reason then, something like it was a few years back when it was when you could hardly see the action because lighting was restricted to make it look 'realistic' ...my asspidistra! Even now it's low level lighting but at least not as bad as it was....why oh why do these people not consider the viewer?
I havent watched it for months now the storylines got on my nerves and the writing was appaling its lost its soul now
I think it's better now than it has been in a long time. I'm enjoying the current storylines.
I'm totally fed up with it, such stupid storylines but Hey ho I suppose I will continue watching as I've always watched it. Same with Emmerdale I'm exasperated at some of the silliness there, especially Nicola recently .................

Having watched it for gulp 54 years, where did the time go? I have to stay with it. Even though I don't like the current story lines. I just hope they will improve.
Missed a few episodes last week - who is the father of Faye's baby, do we know?
Question Author
Yes a school friend called Jackson I think, he made an appearance at a parents/ pupils evening. Nothing to right home about. A thin weedy boy really.

I really don't understand how a mother cannot notice her daughter is seven months pregnant and the doctor saying her weight is normal.
