Did someone know I'd tuned in? Started off OK with Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears, but then it went RAPIDLY downhill after that. Whitney Houston - Bros - T'Pau - Tiffany - Kylie & Jason. Blergh! I suddenly feel icky.....

Icon song Stephen, I still play that album
Loved the Duran Duran bit Planet Earth 1981 the year I left school. Also remember my Grandad (in his 80's in the 80's) watching 'Top of the Pops' and calling me into the front room to clarify whether Boy George was a man or a woman.
Where were New Order and The Smiths - they were more '80s' that the blow-waved *** on show here?
"people who throw pancakes" appears to be censored :(
You mean t o s s e r s Dave !
I thought Come on Eileen was a good rousing comedy/party number.

What was your other "top 2 most hated" Prudie ?
I always liked Come On Eileen - I did feel Dexy & Co could have done with a good wash and tidy up though.

Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl Canary but that's because I associate it with something.
I was living abroad during the 80s so find the old TOTPs for this period absolutely hilarious!
Dexy was well known for hiring and firing so he ended up with completely different sets of midnight runners whenever he appeared....
