How Didn't This One Come Up As A New Post

Is it because it's from an old thread. I put 2 new posts on and nothing came up on the right where the latest posts go. Maybe I am doing something wrong. The post I replied to is below.

yes the original question is from May 2013 so any new replies to it won't show in the Latest Posts list

I think if a thread is more than a few weeks old it doesn't show in 'Latest Posts'

This question should be in Editors blog where the bossman will see it and give a definitive answer.

they don't appear in Latest Posts after a month, I believe.

Just thought that it may be of help to some. Thanks for the replies. Will know to put it in as a new post next time.
