Nichola Walker should get whatever accolades going just on that episode alone, marvellous.

would agree with that. difficult sometimes to second guess whart is coming next.
I agree. Brilliant acting and great storylines. It deals with some very serious issues sensitively and humorously too.
Agree, acting is fantastic, you could feel the emotion when Gillian was talking about her dead husband.
Fantastic!!

I agree too it's a brilliant drama with some fantastic acting and a wonderful antidote to the mindless drivel that seems to dominate these days.
I love this programme...so down to earth....true to life!!!!!
i thought the first series good but a bit twee, this is turning into something much better, complicated lives, and excellent scripts for the actors to get their teeth into, agree that all give great performances..
emmie, I thought that at first and wondered if the writers were seeing how things went with viewers before beefing it up a bit. With the different tangents going on, this series could run and run, hopefully.
Fabulous series - I wonder how it will all end ?
I thought exactly the same last night quizzy, it never disappoints.
Love the characters, apart from Judith who's a bit ott (there's always one) everyone is believable, and I love how they look and dress correctly. Ok, so Caroline's stilettos are a bit high, and on those floors, oooh, but no one flounces around with perfect hair, Mediterannean suntans and I haven't spotted any nail art!
FAB-U-LOUS. Gillian was wonderful in the confession scene with Caroline and I agree she has to be a BAFTA contender. All are brilliant and John is hilarious.
But have you noticed it is 99.9% females who are commenting on this series? Is it only appealing to females do you think?
I don't usually watch drama series on the TV, but this is very good. A sort of Archers with flat caps:-)
Im male and think its the best series Ive seen for a long time, as you never know whats going to happen next.

I really thought that Gillian and Caroline were going to get touchy feely on the sofa when they got back a bit drunk.

I suppose you cant have everything!
Ha ha trt, I thought that too! My whole family have been watching, including the men.
it so full of real life, the kind we all go through, tangled, messy relationships, family spats, that can turn on a sixpence into full blown never speaking to again, Celia and her sisters barney had me reeling, so very funny, i could see it coming, that thing about the sister always having to be one up, her son was cleverer, the look on her fact when learning of Derek Jacobi grandson having a child, oh mercy, it was too real for it's own good. I love Nichola Walker, she is a very classy actress, i
I thought the same, Trt....and that just demonstrates the brilliant writing and acting.

I have loved this series.....but it's made me realise just how much rubbish we are subjected to when one programme can stand so far above others.
I agree with everyone. It is brilliant, the best drama I've seen in ages .It kept me totally engrossed. I'm just sorry that I never watched the first series. I know there's not much similarity but it reminds me of At Home With The Braithwaites. Did anyone watch this?
Yes I did. It was very good but this is better. Same writer wrote both - Sally Wainwright.
That's a coincidence! I never knew it was the same writer. She's brilliant. I wonder what else she has written.
