What are we going to do without it? Both my daughter and I have been hooked. Such brilliant and perceptive writing - the last phrase was a dream (won't spoil it for others). The acting too is fantastic - I'm running out superlatives. I think there is going to be another series so hope it's not too long.

I wholeheartedly agree, hellywelly.
yes, a very good series finale.
Both the funniest and most touching TV I've seen in years!
Absolutely brilliant, Anne Reid said there will probably be another series. Can't wait.
Excellent programme, excellent actors....... more please.
Me too - can't wait for the next series.
Blooming brilliant, I do so hope there is more. The cast are superb and I cried tonight !
Gillian's a game bird isn't she?
well I wasn't in tears but the acting was superb; great cast and casting to the parts.
Haven't seen it yet but just love Gillian in it.
Giuliani's a game bird.....blimey after what I saw tonight I'm surprised she wasn't called Raleigh....
Honestly, Postdog.....why is it always the female who elicits such comment?
Takes two to Tango...even in Halifax....

Brilliant series......x
The acting of every single cast member was superb!
sunday evenings are now bereft. such a good series and such good acting.
Absolutely wonderful programme with the best actors, there should be at least 12 episodes in each run. I read that there will be just one more series. What a very mixed up lady Gillian is, but I really love the way Sally Wainwright has developed the friendship between her and Caroline. What wonderfully understated acting between Anne Reid and Derek Jacobi, should scoop a few awards.
Brilliant series, loved it all.
Gillian is my favourite - what a tart!!!
Absolutely brilliant, all of it. Had to laugh as every time Gillian told Caroline something and she had managed to digest it without blame, there was "and there is something else" haha. I also will miss it terribly on Sunday evenings.
I've enjoyed the series - its ideal Sunday night telly.......however, there's just one thing that I don't like about it, and that's Anne Reid.

Her voice just grates on my nerves.

I've avoided programmes in the past that I would otherwise watch were it not for Anne Reid.

I know people will find this completely irrational, but I can't help it - her voice just really irritates me.
Excellent writing and acting. Last night had me laughing out loud one minute and somber the next. I loved it.
