Most of us don't use the whole name anyway. Lots of people call me star (which I am of course)(tee hee). I would just call him or her besty if I was answering a question.

If you are using Firefox the add-on CoLT adds a copy link text to the context menu when you right-click on a username (since it is a link) and so you just then copy and paste it into your text; that's what I use and it saves a bit of typing.
