Eve....I have no idea what you are talking about.

What is an "inner child?"
If I see a ball I have to kick it.
Comfort food seems to bring out the child in me, or rather the memories of childhood.

it's so long since i was a child, i have forgotten
I've known people who if they saw a belt would have to hit under it.
Constantly - we don't have to grow up and be sensible ALL of the time!
Eve......don't bother to answer my question, as I think I have got it now......

No.
It's really a way of addressing issues from childhood. If someone said to their 'Inner Child', themselves, really, 'You were powerless, couldn't have done anything about it.',they're trying to close an unhappy episode that's stayed with them.
do you think so, sandy? I've always thought of the inner child as being a happy playful thing.
If I have my wellies on, I deliberately walk through puddles.
Mine wasn't, Boxtops.

We may have different meanings Sandy, I meant more doing things you did when you were a child or childlike things.

Ahh Sqad, you should try it ;)
Not all of mine was, either, sandy - but the Inner Child thing (for me) is what I mean when I do childish things, not revisit those days and reflect.
I'm 43 and still get extremely awestruck at rainbows, I drive the rest of the Boo household bonkers if we see one, as I refuse to move until it's faded away- then I become sad :-(
Oh! my gawd........going for a shower and watch TV.
Have you ever tried to find the end of one B00, you know, pot of Gold.
I go mad if we are looking at a rainbow and anyone points at it (because that's what breaks them).

I love rainbows too, same with snow and fireworks and that feeling of excitement when you are getting near the sea.

On my 34th birthday I stumbled upon some firemen collecting for charity and letting children sit in their fire engine with a helmet on...oh yes I did! :)
I simply didn't ever progress beyond the age of 12. My body did, but mentally I'm still there. So I actually am my inner child, full time.
Eve, are you saying that you played with a firemans helmet !.
