Damaging Sim Card

I have bought an unlock code from a legitimate website to unlock my galaxy s4. The phone is currently locked to orange so will obviously need to use a different sim provider to unlock the phone.

My plan is to use my wifes 02 sim. What I would like to know is can anything go wrong with her sim? She's a bit sceptical it will wipe or damage her sim whilst it unlocks my phone?

Thanks

That doesn't make any sense. You don't need any SIM provider to unlock the phone.
