Yippee! After many drawn out episodes and lots of theories, we will finally find out who killed Danny tonight. I had thought it was the vicar, now im thinking it was someone that we least expect, like the postman! LOL.

Is it sad that I've been waiting for this ALL week? :)
I reckon it's got something to do with the copper's son and his Dad and Nigel covered it up.

On another note, I was in 'Broadchurch' high street yesterday, and had a walk around the church :)

I've only just noticed that the Copper's husband looks very like the Pauline Quirk's son (I can't remember the names) and she may have mistook him in the dark, and thinking he was evil anyway:

He keeps saying how much he "hated him" and how they weren't best friends like everyone keeps saying, so I think it could be a bit more sinister than a game that went wrong.
Proper little Damien that kid, I think.

could well be that the copper's hubby had an unhealthy interest in Danny and Danny told his mate who wouldn;t beleive it and got angry about it then told his dad who is covering for his son not because of loyalty to his son but fear for his own hide.......

Oh I hope it's not anything like that. That kind of thing leaves me feeling uncomfortable.

I reckon you are right DJH.
I remember the lady detective (forget names) asked Pauline Quirke how she couldn't know that her husband was abusing her daughter and ironically (possibly) she herself doesn't know what her OH is up to.

what really bugs me is the total lack of anything much to do with forensics, dna etc, it's really slow moving in an old fashioned sort of way. I think I have mentioned before, if he was smothered there would be some sort of transfer as it is a very close quarter physical killing.

Ah yes, well spotted. The husband was also very quick to stop his son talking to the policeman at the wake of Jack, which makes me think maybe you're right.

or possibly the coppers son was the victom of his father's abuse, confided in danny, danny wanted to blow the whistle but the other boy was scared he'd lose his dad, so killed danny in a row , so back to the dad covering for the boy.

Ah! Yes. Oh well - will find out tonight!!

Danny was strangled by a man, it said so in the first episode. I think it is the police woman's husband, but that others were involved in covering it up. Danny had been out poaching and stealing fuel from the tractor, I think something went wrong because of that. He had the £500 under his bed, so was he blackmailing someone? Have a feeling that the Di played by David Tennant will die at the end.

Just wanted to say, how excellent the acting has been - especially Olivia Coleman and Pauline Quirke.

And I think my theory (that the killer was the family liaison officer) has now been shown as being a load of rubbish.

I trust that this will indeed be the big reveal tonight, and that broadchurch doesn't turn into another "twin peaks" and leave you waiting until the next series - or the one after that.

I still think the vicar has a hand in it somewhere, and think that David Tennant will probably die, although I'd be happy if he didn't.
