Eastenders or Corrie

If there was only enough room in TV land for one depressingly addictive soap, which of those would you chose?

I like Enders and I like Corrie but which one is best? There's only one way to find out........ FIGHT!!!!!!

(actually, that's a lie. Corrie sucks)

I disagree I find Corrie better written and better acted and far funnier than EE
I think it might be a North / South divide thing though

Maybe your answers should include your regional location. I'm daannn sarf. ;)
I'm up norf
I watch Eastenders... Corrie's crap. And I'm in Scotland so I'm unbiased. The only other soap I'll watch is Neighbours :-)
I'm in Scotland and I prefer Easties....that could also be because I have an unhealthy obsession with that accent! ;)

I know everyone says EE is depressing but the few times I've seen Corrie I've wanted to chuck myself off the roof.
You are spot on with those two descriptions Evian depressing and addictive, Enders depressing Corrie addictive, by the way I live just 15 miles from coronation st
We also like Emmerdale

Lol, we see where your loyalties lie then Mick.
Eastenders every time for me! I'm an Essex girl
Well I live very near Emmerdale (my colleague's hubby works on the production crew) I never watch it
I did when it was Grandad and Matt and Joe and Mr Wilks though

They all ought to be took off telly, never watched east enders, only watch corro and emmerdale because wife watches them, thank god she only watches those 2
Corrie, all the way. In EE all they seem to do is scream at each other.
Corrie, I've never seen EE but the accents are unbearable from that part of the country, they've replaced Midlands as my least favourite. Now there's another potential fight!

I think Corrie confuses itself with Dynasty sometimes. All the characters seem to always dress so glam all the time. It all seems a bit much for a cobbled street where the main attractions are a grim old pub and a knicker factory. :)
Corrie for me all the way. Although the humour is less these days, you still get some real gems which make you laugh out loud.
I stopped watching EE some years ago and on the occasional times that I do turn over to watch it, they are all shouting at each other and I quickly turn it off again.
I am from down sarf by the way, the sunny Dorset South Coast but it is raining here at the present!
Corrie for me - luv it !
Corrie! Corrie! Corrie!
