The Olympic Opening Cermony....

I know we couldn't out do the Beijing opening but, costing £27 million for the opening of the UK Olympics showing farm animals in fields, fake clouds and a cricket match etc, surely this is a ridiculous waste of money?

If I was to tell you that there is a feature film that is 80 minutes long about a car tyre rolling down a road you probably think that it must be absolute tosh; if you did then you be missing out on the excellent film Rubber

I think £27m is a lot to spend on any opening ceremony, but we'll moan if they do and moan if they don't I suspect. This plan is very British, it represents the majority of our country and it will provide a backdrop to a complete performance which is yet to be revealed. I'm quite optimistic about it myself.
i think it will be odd, what will the people who live in the inner cities make of it?
