I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was worthy of Morse and Colin Dexter.

I loved it too especially the last bit when he saw himself in 20 years time in the rear-view mirror!
I agree Chrissa. Thought it was excellent and hope they make it a series. Best thing that was on all over the christmas and new year period.
brilliant finish
I watched the first hour - but my one criticism of Morse was always that two hours is too long. I can't keep watching for two hours.
I absolutely agree. That sort of thing (prequel) can be a bit of a let-down, but I thought it was excellent. Really hope they'll make it into a series.

The whole case "mapped out" the rest of his life.
I was agreeing to the first two posts. It takes a lot to keep me watching for two hours, but I was riveted all through.
very good.....very touching scene near the end when he looked in car mirror and we saw the older Morse
Didn't watch it because 2 hours is a long time to hold my attention. Wish I had now
Question Author
Yes that was brilliant wasn't it?

Do try and see it micmak. Without the adverts it won't be too long. It's well worth a watch.
I thought it was very good.
I thought Roger Allam was really good, had all DI Thursday's mannerisms down to a tee.

By the way chrissa, hope Christmas/New Year was ok for you. Had a very quiet one myself, did a lot of crying, and just glad it's all over. xx
its worth watching....great acting and the best part was you can actually believe it is a young Morse....everybody involved should be rightly proud of what they produced here
A brilliant piece of TV, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hi Jan1957. Glad you enjoyed the programme too. I got through the festivities ok with my son and daughter and my little granddaughter. I hope it wasn't too bad for you.

This time last year my husband was in hospital. He would have loved Endeavour as he loved Morse.

Take care and keep strong. Chrissa x
Thanks Chrissa. Glad you had family with you. xx
I thought it was dreadful but then I never liked Morse either................
