Didn't see them all but those I did, I enjoyed. Martin Clunes is a really good actor. You can bet that they'll find some drivel to replace it with.

I'm also watching Pie In The Sky in the evenings, that was one I missed first time round for some unknown reason, thoroughly enjoying that too.
Felt quite tearful at the end when he was saying that he loved her, I realy felt for him. Lovely actor., plays the part so well. Also watch Pie in the Sky, the outside restaurant scenes were filmed in our old town, very early on Sunday mornings. You cant usually drive straight up there because of the parked cars and delivery trucks but looks so tranquil on TV!
I missed it....I'll watch it on iplayer later :-)
New 5 parter called Jury next week, it's on every day.
It was so lovely at the end. Brilliant series. I do hope they make another one.
I hope they don't make another series. I love Doc Martin but there were times in this series when the storylines weren't very good at all. I think they have tied things up really nicely and Martin Clunes and his producer wife should let the Doc Martin rest now.

I hope they do make another series, but I understand your sentiments Quizzy.

Barb, real life is never as tranquil as depicted on these programmes:)

The Jury looks good, from the trailers that is. Unless they've done the usual, you know, showing the best bits and the rest of the prog is rubbish.
There have been quite a few series on lately that have just disappeared, which I miss, such as Born and Bred and The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency.

Yes, I do watch more gripping and realistic tv, but the whole family enjoys these programmes.
I hope they do another series .
He's brilliant .
"Sit down ,shut up ,be quiet "
Looking on on the net he says they are thinking about it .

You've jogged my memory with the No1 Ladies Detective Agency :)

Sometimes 'them that makes them' decide that the ratings weren't high enough and pull the plug. Grrrr

There's nothing wrong with a nice gentle programme with a decent mix of pathos and humour. Loved it when Luoisa told him 'that's not my baby'!!
His expressions are priceless.
Yes The Detective Ladies was very good ( the books are lovely ) as was Born and Bred
And whatever happened to The Royal ..I know it was cheesey but I loved it and they left poor Dr Ormerod hanging by a thread in the operating theatre and that was it !
Question Author
The Royal...wasn't that the one with Wendy Craig as Matron? If so, that was another pleasant way to pass the time. Dr Ormerod was rather dishy, if it's the actor I'm thinking of.
Yes ..that's the one albaqwerty.Robert Daws .He was in Roger Roger and Rock and Chips .Good character actor and very dishy .)
I just love anything with Martin Clunes in it. He is one of our best actors, both serious and for comedy. I shall miss Doc Martin on a Monday. It was good television after awful weekend television!!
Question Author
thanks shaney, and thank you for his name too. (I'm going slightly tingly thinking about him, but that's it too much information!!!) lol
i didn;t realise it was the end of the series :-(
Lol....albaqwerty
And.... while I'm on the subject ..that other lovely series Kingdom..with Stephen Fry .More gentle viewing .Another one ditched .
And what's happened to the follow on from Foyle's War ...Foyles Peace, that they promised us .
No ..it's all reality stuff ..silly arses dancing and even more silly arses thinking they are the next best thing to sliced bread :)
