Imagine a diet that included a bit of protein, maybe fish, and most of the following. Olives, pickled beetroot, sweetcorn, carrots, celery, mushrooms, and gherkins, and pok choi.
Would one lose weight?

Lol @sandy .
That’s a really tasty sounding meal, and yes you probably would lose weight, just be careful as some of those pickled items will be quite high in salt, but all day everyday?

What about some slow releasing carbs to fill you up a little like porridge or pasta?
Question Author
I was thinking of porridge in the morning with a tablespoon of bran for fibre.
Sandy, try porridge with some Flaxseed and a little sprinkling of ginger, add a sliced banana, very tasty and nourishing
Not sure but the amount of pickles might take some getting used to. It's also low in vitamin c so vary your greens and add tomatoes. Variety is one be of the keys to a healthy diet. You might also go short on your fat soluble vitamins so a little olive oil maybe in a dressing or maybe half an avocado a few times a week. with a high alcohol intake you probably need to supplement your b vitamins too.
Porridge would be good for you and I would also go for flaxseed it's a lot cheaper in Aldi . High in omega 3, while still giving you extra fibre.
The added ginger will give it a kick and is easy on the stomach
I think i would lose the will to live
