How would I go about being a steward at a motor racing event ie F1, Superbikes or BTTC? Do you need qualifications like first aid? Cheers Andy

While there are a few senior staff who are paid employees, most stewards/marshalls are volunteers. To get involved at something like an F1 event, you'd need plenty of experience at smaller events first (usually at BARC venues).

All the information you need is here:

Does it have to be a track event? If not try going to some other motorsport events. Rallying is a good place to start. Try and find a local motorsport club. They would be able to get you info on events and whether they need marshals or not. (Mostly they need marshalls for all events). You'd probably be asked to start on a smaller event like an autocross or something similar.
