No I'm not taking it and never have!! I've discovered that someone very close to me is growing it in their garage behind a secret wall, and then harvesting it and selling it. It's meant to be a one off thing but I'm really shocked. I had no idea as I have no sense of smell. I've told them( it's the man doing it but woman knows) how stupid they are being, and the woman isn't happy about it at but he says he's just doing it to get some money for the family. Apart from being worried sick for them it suddenly occurred to me - what on earth would happen if the police turned up whilst I was there?? Would I be arrested??

If you do not report this you are allowing them to go on causing harm to all the users. Many of them could end up with severe permanent mental health problems, do you want that on your conscience?
They will get caught, the police regard this as a major crime! the longer it is allowed to go on the worse the sentence will be when they do get caught, and believe me they will get caught! They may get away with it for a few months or even years but they WILL get caught!
//put the address and post code on here//

What a ludicrous suggestion.
Might just get community service and not prison but as a consequence could lose their home if it is rented, will have a criminal record so his job could be affected or future job prospects and every other consequence of having a criminal record.

He might be doing to the money but he certainly isn't doing it for the family
"could lose their home if it is rented"

How? Do the police contact landlords?
it is supposed to be great for medicinal purposes
Yes ,if it is a rented house the landlord will be informed as it is a breach of tenancy. They may be evicted! If it is on a mortgage the mortgage company will be informed as the premises are being used for illegal activity. This means an increased risk of defaulting (as they are in danger of being jailed and losing their jobs) The mortgage company can foreclose the mortgage on them .
It is JJ. I do wish it was available on prescription .
They are testing it.
Wish they'd hurry up :-)
Wow, I didn't know that Eddie. Then the op has to make a choice, let it carry on, he may get more plants, expand his "Business" and then get caught, possibly jailed and lose the family home or get the police involved whilst it is a possibly "Minor" crime and nip it in the bud.

What a horrible choice to have to make.

Our thoughts are with you op.
I used to know a woman that had MS, she used it even baked in cakes. It bought her great relief from this terrible degenerative disease.
Cannabis extract is available to patients with some forms of cancer , it helps them regain their appetite! Otherwise they could eat so little they are in danger of starving to death!
This also accounts for a major side effect of cannabis use known as 'The Munchies' . When my daughter and her boy friend were living with us they would get up in the night and eat everything in the kitchen! due to The Munchies'. One morning I came down to find they had eaten 16 eggs and an entire loaf of bread as 'eggs on toast!
Eddie - I think most people know what the munchies are.
Lunol That is why I am urging smow to report it now, when it is minor and will probably just get a community service sentence. Leaving it may very well mean they do not get caught until it has gone to the point where jail is inevitable! Smowball you will be doing them a favor by reporting it!
But of course they will never know it was you as crime-stoppers is TOTALLY anonymous! Not even the crime-stoppers operator will know your name or where you live!
Stop on your mission, Eddie, not every weed smoker is like your daughter.
I think Smow has plenty of advice and will now proceed as she thinks fit both for herself and the people involved.

I'm still trying to find the ones who nicked the plants I was growing years ago.
Eviction for criminal behaviour from council or housing association home:

http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_advice/eviction/eviction_of_council_tenants/eviction_for_antisocial_behaviour

A private landlord will evict pronto because of the serious consequences to himself - the landlord's insurance will be invalid and he could also face criminal prosecution

They may well do - at least they contacted me

Eviction is quite difficult unless you have put a clause allowing eviction for such behaviour in the lease. You may have to wait until the end of the lease and then do a s21 thingey.

Smowballs neighbour is dealing by the way
line 7 of her post

not actually a neighbour, PP; in another town. I'd just leave them to it; the idea that "it's doing them a favour" doesn't wash with me - let them decide what favours they want done. I sympathise with Eddie over his family, but about 8 million people a year use it in Britain and they're not all hopeless addicts hurtling down the slippery slope to heroin and crack. If Smowball is worried that her visits will coincide with a police raid, stop visiting. But turn them in? Not me.
