At first I thought it was funny, seeing the man/woman in a Burka selling ice cream, but reading the full article, not so.

I cant believe that a row of terraced houses have been made into a Mosque, with fairy lights on the roof.

To be pedantic, that's not technically a burqa. A burqa is an all-in-one garment that covers from head to foot. What we see here is similar, but not quite the same.

I confess I'm more offended by the use of the apostrophe in the plural 'ices'.

In that case ^^ make mine a Double 99 please!

Can't see the difference myself.

/// I confess I'm more offended by the use of the apostrophe in the plural 'ices'. ///

Really couldn't it be that it denotes the missing letters of ice creams?
You can see the ice cream seller's eyes because she is wearing a niqab and not a burqa
Why have we buried our heads in the sand for so long ? We were warned by some, years ago that this would happen & we ignored it at our peril. It is probably too late now to do anything about it but something should be attempted to try to stem the inevitable drift to make this country a Muslim state.(// Not far away there is a Sharia Court which was criticised recently in a House of Lords report for discriminating against women in the matrimonial disputes it oversees.// ). Why for instance was a Sharia Law court allowed to be formed when it obviously makes rulings that are against the laws of the UK ?.

Well said WR ......
Could it be that they aren't legally married in UK law?
Ron, the Sharia court you refer to has absolutely no legal standing in the UK and is no different from the Beth Din (the Jewish courts) that have been in the UK for many, many years.

"I confess I'm more offended by the use of the apostrophe in the plural 'ices'. "

You're not kidding. Apostrophe crime truly crosses cultural boundaries :-)
Ron, religious people of all faiths take counsel and advice from their religious leaders. An example is abortion which is legal in the UK (but not Northern Ireland) but is prohibited to Catholic women who want to adhere to Papal laws but the law allows the Catholic woman to get an abortion regardless of what her priest tells her.

As long as the Sharia Courts and Beth Din keep to matters of faith there is no reason to ban them. Criticise them, yes, but not ban them.

I have read many, many threads, posts, and links regarding the "situation" in the UK, and I can honestly say that I am extremely grateful that I do not live there.
It's not an ice cream seller, it's a Ninja !

"Chopped nuts with that ?"

Is it a women hc, have you x-ray eyes?
I thought it looked like a bloke, to be honest.
whiskeyron, IS jihadists are doing the job of enticing muslims ;)
france banned the burqa so why can't we ?
Perhaps instead of "ice's", it should be ISIS.

No guts Mall IMO, and Cameron dosent want to upset peoples human rights, which he said they would get rid of, if they won the election first time around.

Its the same with Immigration, he's no backbone like the Aussies.
