I would really like to think sqad does.
I do. All my family do, we have a family group where one message goes to all, I have an employee group, and various others. The good thing about Whassup is that you can tell when the message has arrived at their phone, and whether they have read it or not. I also have LINE which is more popular in the Far East, I don' t know about the UK, but I prefer Whassup.

I've heard of it in passing, but have no idea what the app is. Is it similar to snapchat? (not that i know what that is, either)
the idea of people knowing whether I have read their messages or not doesn't fill me with delight
No, my daughter has it but I am really loathe to install apps on my phone that require a broad spectrum of permissions.

Im going to give it a go!
Well jno, as it usually used for friends and family, I find that detail very handy. If you send to a group you can't see who actually has read it, only that it has been read. I bet you could deactivate that though if your prefer.
well if you don't know anyone else on it - not much point!
I have used it for years Daffy. No problem whatsoever
I've just started using it. I generally tend to use it to chat to a couple of friends but it doesnt cost either of us anything to use (assuming we are on wifi).
Yes, I do Ratter. I use it to talk to son & daughter & send pics. No problems, straightforward & easy to use.
I stopped using it when it was acquired by Facebook. I really don't want Facebook harvesting the data it gets on me through whatsapp's data acquisition function.
My daughter and I use it to keep in touch especially when she's travelling. Saves us both money.
All free as Barmaid says.
Hi pasta x
Now how it's set up or how to add people, haven't a clue.
Question Author
Sounds good, it appears I do have a few friends that use it!
A similar service that was suggested to me is Viber.
Go ahead Ratter, all good!
