I would rather give them water or milk Sandy, but at a push it would have to be sugar free.
I won't buy diet drinks. I actually don't but any drinks....

Milk or water here but they are at an age where they can but their own drinks.
Chemicals? Everything is made up of "chemicals"...everything we eat, everything we drink, us...everything! That's what stuff is...chemicals.
Diet drinks contain artificial sweeteners which are as bad or possibly worse than sugar.

Hans.
I'd buy neither...but if needed, would choose sugar free. Too much added sugar has a far greater impact on the nations health.
Neither generally. On the rare occasions i get a fizzy drink for the children, i avoid diet and get "normal". I have a possibly misled feeling that sugar is better than sweeteners. They aren't overweight, although obviously not good for teeth.
Mine have sugar fuzzy drinks but no- sugar squash. They don't drink much fizzy stuff but do drink a lot if fruit juice. None of them have any fillings or are over weight (one's carrying some puppy fat but she doesn't drink fizzy pop).
I drink far too much Pepsi Max and the acid is bad for our teeth. The sugar free stuff is full of chemicals - but it tastes good.
