You'll have to see a solicitor. You might get something for the trauma. A solicitor will give you a definite answer.

Joe....something like that is very traumatic.

I was attacked by some perv....it effected me for a long time.
are they being charged? have you spoken to your victim support worker?
Question Author
yes i have spoke to victim support, they was helpful but actual police have been very unhelpful. Cant get to find anything out about the case at all. The suspect is still in prison and was refused bail as his family was making threats to us
See a solicitor. Damages can be awarded for "Psychiatric damage". However, there may be little point in pursuing this if the perpetrator has no money!
barmaids right, you may get a pound a week.
Why were you shot at?
Was the gun found on the suspect? Were there witnesses to this crime? What exactly was your relationship to the perp?
Great innit? You get shot at and the first thing you ask is how much can I screw out of the system.
Perhaps best you choose which birds you go home with more carefully in future
