All appeals are heard in the crown court and Birmingham and Warwick are currently working on February/ March 2008.
Each case is however individual and sometimes if a week/ 2 week trail closes early they may fit an appeal in at short notice.

Law Man's post seems to refer to convictions in a Magistrates' Court. Appeals against such convictions (and/or the sentences associated with them) can be dealt with before a Crown Court.
However, an appeal against a conviction and/or sentence in a Crown Court (which, from your previous posts, applies to your partner) must be heard before the Court of Appeal (at the Royal Courts of Justice, in London). The length of time before an appeal can be heard varies widely. Typically, it might take around 3 months to obtain leave to appeal and then another 2 or 3 months before the case comes to court. (Complex cases can take far longer).
As Norman states, your partner will probably be back with you before any appeal could be heard.
