restraining order

My partner and I have just won a court case against our former landlord. However we are both worried about what they might do (they know where we have moved to). How can we go about getting a restraining order put against them? xx

If your former landlord is a nutter, then no restraining order is going to stop him.

If anything it will make him madder !.

Face the problem full on : Go and see the former landlord, and tell him that despite the problems in the past you want to move on with your life, if the reaction isn't very good, then move again and don't tell anyone where you have gone to, especally the ex-landlord.

Good Luck

The other way of facing the problem is to write the former landlord a letter but make sure your solictor sees it first so they can chec that no legal matters will arise from such a problem.

The other thing is that if they start to cause too much of a problem where you live then you need to inform the local police. It may be of benefit to you and the other half to find out who your Community Officer is and then speak to him or her as soon as possible.

Hope this is useful to you! All the best and I hope nothing has or will happen.
